Vicious Snake Battles Chameleon

ID: 1501067

This is the moment a vicious snake came out on top in what was a heated battle with a plucky chameleon.

In the footage, the determined chameleon can be seen standing its ground while the snake jabs at it frantically.

The boomslang snake, however, eventually bit the chameleon, injecting him with hemotoxin venom, which solidifies the blood.

Attempting to escape the grasps of the snake, the lizard hobbled away, only for the serpent wrap its mouth around his prey’s body, dissappearing off into the long green grass to indulge on its snack.

Cheeky Penguin Tries To Steal Camera

ID: 1499720

These camera-shy penguins had seemingly had enough of their photos being taken, so they attempted to steal a number of recording devices, likely mistaking them for large pebbles.

Filmmaker Anthony Powell is no stranger to the unpredictable nature of working in Antarctica, but he was left incredibly amused after looking back at the footage captured on a number of GoPro cameras he’d scattered beside a penguin colony.

Finding that many of the cameras had been moved or knocked over, the Kiwi – who’s spent the last 10 years filming in the white dessert – was eager to unravel the mystery of their movement.

Downloading the footage to see a series of penguins hilariously pecking at the lens and attempting to physically pick the camera up, Anthony said he suddenly realised “what it felt like to be a krill,” the main small fish of a penguins’ diet.

Monster Fish Chokes While Trying To Eat Whole Fish

ID: 1496591

A shocked fisherman filmed a monstrous 18-year-old flathead fish choking to death on another smaller fish after it attempted to devour its prey whole – but had eyes bigger than its stomach.

Michael Pool stumbled upon the unbelievable sight earlier this month after embarking on his usual morning walk along the water in his hometown of Burrill Lake, New South Wales, Australia.

The 63-year-old first spotted the colossal metre-long (3ft 2in), 10kg (1st 6lbs) flathead in the water from a distance – but it was only when he ventured closer that he realised the fish had choked on a small bream.

He tried to release the small fish from the flathead’s enormous jaws but Michael said that the bream was ‘jammed too far’ and was stuck inside the flathead’s mouth, making it ‘impossible’ to dislodge from its ‘shark-like’ teeth.

Possum Rescued From Behind Drainpipe

ID: 1493379

This hilarious image shows a baby brushtail possum wedged into an impossibly tight spot when it became stuck behind a drainpipe during heavy rains.

The lucky little marsupial was rescued from a home in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia today [April 10] after falling from the roof and getting trapped in a tiny narrow gap between the drainpipe and the wall as it attempted to climb back up.

Animal rescuers attended the residence in The Basin, in the city’s east, and were able to free the stuck animal before bundling the uninjured possum up in a towel to take it out of harm’s way.

Rescuer Lisa Radford, 43, said the tiny 500g critter was blessed to have been freed from its sticky situation before it fell prey to swooping birds or feral cats.

Technology In China Lets You Pay With A Selfie

ID: 1493451

CHINA has taken another leap forward in implementing futuristic technology in every-day-life, with Facial Recognition Technology now enabling you to purchase items by taking a selfie with a thumbs up.

British photographer, Dan Wolfe was filmed using the cutting-edge software to purchase drinks and a snack during a holiday in the northwest city of Guangzhou, China, April 2.

The software requires you to sign up to the cashless payment app, WeChat, before being able to access items such as toilet roll in public bathrooms – in the attempt to minimise excessive paper usage – to food and snacks.

World Record For Biggest Binary Explosion Is Broken

ID: 1493124

A new world record has been set for the largest binary detonation using 1776lbs (126 STONE) of explosives showering the air with incredible red, white and blue cloud.

Chris White, creator of Freedom Hard – a brand set up to use humor as a way to show patriotism – conjured the plan up after selling his wedding certificate and purchasing explosives with the money.

Deciding that make his next project was going to go with a bigger and better bang, he chose the number 1776 as the weight, to recognise the year the Unite States of America gained independence.

Obliterating a plot of unused land in West Texas, in early January, the record breaking attempt beat the previous of 600lbs by almost triple the amount.
